My wife and I were lucky enough to …
Comment posted I was recently in Park City Utah to ski. They have lots of Olympic stuff around still from 2002.? by CFrehner.
My wife and I were lucky enough to attend the medals ceremony on the last day of events. What an amazing event! Downtown Salt Lake City was transformed into something amazing. And interacting with people from all over the world was once of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. Everyone should do it at least once!
(And thanks for letting me reminisce…)

- Lake Placid is also a place that keeps everything around and you can bobsled, luge, on the very same track that was used for the Olympics, speedskating where Eric Heiden won 5 gold medals, skate where the US Olympic Hockey team beat the Soviets for the Miracle on Ice, ski jumping, curling, and ski at White Face Mountain which was the skiing spot for the 1980 Games. There is also museums for the 1932 Games and 1980 Games. Alot of the Olympic organizations give lessons or run camps. I got luge lessons from Silver Medalist Gordy Sheer and Duncan Kennedy two times and will be going back for more lessons. I would have to say it was the best vacation spot I ever been to.
- Most places keep the olympic stuff around. I live in Reno. Reno (Squaw Valley) hasn’t hosted the Olympics in over 30 years, but a lot of the stuff remains. I was also at the track in Barcelona where the summer olympics were held 10 years ago or more. The stuff is still there.
I didn’t go to the Oympics in Salt Lake. But a lot of my husband’s family did. My sister in law is a dancer and she got to perform with KISS. There were only 4 girls on stage with kiss and she was one of them. That’s pretty cool.

- What did Obama mean when he said this-”We need earmark reform, and when I’m President, I will go line by line?
Yep line by line and then they weren’t even allowed to read the so called stimulus bill. Libs still believe everything he says. Wait until the Bush tax cuts expire. See we will have to pay more taxes but they are just returning to where they were before. That way they don’t have to call them a tax increase you just have to pay more taxes. The libs just love that. I’ll bet Geithner likes it. - What did Obama mean when he said this-”We need earmark reform, and when I’m President, I will go line by line?
He meant I really have no idea about what’s behind the desk of the former president, I’ll inherit a deficit but of what magnitude.
O my this is worse than I thought, and now I’m the scapegoat. - What did Obama mean when he said this-”We need earmark reform, and when I’m President, I will go line by line?
Looks like all of those you mentioned can create jobs. I’d probably cut the pig odor research, but some science departments will be happy.
He decided he didn’t need to spend so much on new helicopters, so he cut that. I’m sure Bullsh never would have cut any of the bogus expenses he wasted your money on. I think Obama will listen to people who have a good reason to complain about something. There is to be a website to show where the money is being spent (unlike the hidden Bush budget.) So if you see something you don’t like, address it specifically. - What did Obama mean when he said this-”We need earmark reform, and when I’m President, I will go line by line?
He will say anything to get elected - What did Obama mean when he said this-”We need earmark reform, and when I’m President, I will go line by line?
“line by line” he meant doing coke……
