Is the snow still good for skiing/snowboarding in park city utah in early april?
I am interested in going to Utah for ski/snowboard trip in early April. I went in January, loved it and want to go back badly! I’m just worried that the spring conditions wont be great.. Thanks!

I dont think it would be really good for snowbording! You should stick with it in january but spring no i dont think so! But snow bording is like the best me and my besties go all the time lol.
If spring conditions are good anywhere in April, they will be good at Park City. They get some great snow there and get pretty good cover as well. It probably will be soft out and mushy. Skiing may not be the best, but, even a bad day skiing is a good day. Snowboarding would be perfect to learn. The snow will be soft rather than icy for falling. You don’t do quite as much carving when learning to board as opposed to skiing. The melting snow conditions undergo some physical property changes that make it grainy and less dense.
I would definitely go for it.
Check out my ski instruction blog at http://skiblog-skiblog.blogspot.com/ for some cool tips. Hope to see you there!
Best of luck and think snow!

in park city the snow is usually pretty good in april, but this year the snow hasn’t been that great. sorry, you might get a few good runs!
from I read, its still good skiing/boarding in Park City. Check out their websites and maybe even call a resort and talk to a front desk clerk. if your personable, you should get honest responses.
We just got another big snow storm today and there is going to be more this week. The snow is better in Jan. but it is still great right now. It is getting warmer so the snow is a little wet, but it is not bad. Got to love Utah. You can ski in the morning and golf in the afternoon.
Enjoy your trip.
Dude snowboarding in April is THE BEST. Its more of a party than anything. Make a few runs. Have a beer. Goof off. Sleep in. The snow is all soft and wet and makes for a great time. Don’t listen to people who don’t like slush. They probably never broken their helmet on January ice like i have. Go have fun.
I have worked at the Resort for several years and April tends to have decent snow. In fact last season we extended for one week and closed with a near 100″ base. It’s hard to tell, but if you like sun and fun you’ll still enjoy yourself!
