What does it take to be in the Sundance film festival?

I’m wondering, really out of curiosity, how people get into the Sundance film festival. Is every film individually chosen, and can only be chosen or selected to be screened at Sundance? Or is there like an entry fee/application process where you can actually apply to be screened at the Sundance film festival? If so, how much does it cost? What is required?

  • ?:

You can check out the eligibility requirements, fees, etc. in the link below which is on the official website.

  • Yeah it’s totally open to anyone. They get THOUSANDS of submissions ever year though, so you better try to come up with a really original story or to tell you story in a really original way. Final deadline Sept 22 and the submission fee is is $100 (it’s cheaper if you submit earlier.)
