Ocean City, New Jersey â a Model for Wholesome Family Fun

Ocean City is a Jersey Shore beach resort that sets itself apart from other beachfront towns in going all out to insure that its reputation as âAmericaâs Greatest Family Resortâ is true to its motto. Its heritage is deep rooted in Christian values. Alcohol sales are prohibited and there are no bars or nightclubs. The attractions along the boardwalk are controlled by the city to insure they are safe, secure, and provide wholesome family fun, at a modest cost.
Located 65 miles from Philadelphia, and 125 miles from New York City, it attracts family vacationers from the tri-sate area looking for a family destination with lots of wholesome fun.
This family resort destination has many attractions and accommodations that are family oriented and reasonably priced. Lodging including motels, bed and breakfasts, hotels, and vacation home rentals; family oriented restaurants, both sit in and take-out; shopping, including clothing, t-shirts, souvenirs, and antiques; and of course its beautiful beach and fun filled boardwalk.
The boardwalk — 50 feet in width, 2 1/2 miles long, has many eateries, taffy and fudge shops, and a large amusement pier, Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, with a 140 foot Ferris wheel, kiddie cars, roller coasters, a miniature golf course and a water park.
In the early morning, the boardwalk is frequented by joggers and bikers, and as afternoon approaches, they begin to attract many teenagers, and by evening, the families dominate.
Ocean City has a long history of music and summer concerts with the Music Pier, a noted landmark on the boardwalk, being the venue of distinction. In the summer, the Music Pier is the home of the Ocean City Pops orchestra providing quality entertainment with many soloist artists appearing from the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra.
The beach is eight miles long, well-maintained and safely monitored; Beach fees and badges are required.
On rainy days you have a choice of things to do. You can visit the Bayside Center to see a museum and models of ships. With three floors of bay view front porches, itâs a great place to view the sunset. Or you can take in a movie at the Strand theatre on the where they show G, PG and PG-13 movies.
Looking for a cultural alternative to the boardwalk? Visit the Ocean City Arts Center , they have arts classes, exhibitions, crafts shows, and other events.
There are also has many annual family events including the century old Baby Parade, the popular A Night in Venice, and the Miss New Jersey Pageant.
Being a family destination, it is not surprising taht there is a wide variety of moderately priced family restaurants that are child friendly. Most restaurants are found along the boardwalk and on Asbury Avenue. However, if you are looking for a fine dining experience, you are not likely to find it in Ocean City. For gourmet food, you can hop on the parkway north about 20 minutes to Atlantic City or south about 30 minutes to Cape May for a wide choice of fine dining restaurants.
Interested in Ocean City history? Take a walk through the historic district and visit the brick Tabernacle on Wesley Ave. Itâs the location of Ocean cityâs first house of worship, a wooden tabernacle that was destroyed by a hurricane in 1944. Take a walk along the 300 block of Central Avenue and see the large 100 year old Victorian style homes, or the New Brighton Inn circa 1882, on Fifth St, home of one of the city founders Rev. William Burrell. It is known as the “marrying house” because of the many weddings he performed there.

Legal Requirements for Car Insurance Houston Texas
If you live in Houston Texas and would like to take a drive down to a Texan farm, be careful. The law is severe and it prohibits anyone from driving a vehicle without specific car insurance. A car owner must have the minimum liability auto insurance policy while driving in Texas. This means that you must be able to provide for your own cover and the damages that may arise if your car is involved in an accident, which causes damage to third party property and personal injury to others.

Munich City Break

If you have not considered a holidays in Munich Germany before, you should expect to be enticed and amazed by what is on offer. Germany is year-round holiday destination, with fine cities for Autumn and Winter cultural breaks, the famous German Christmas Markets, music, beer and wine festivals, spa holidays, summer river cruising plus of course alpine scenes for family summer holidays and winter skiing.
Although being Germany’s third largest city, Munich has the country’s strongest economy and lowest unemployment rates for a major city. It houses the headquarters for many major companies and is a world famous destination for tourists. Munich’s popularity is such that it is twinned with seven cities worldwide – including Cincinnati, Bordeaux and Kiev.
Demand for hotels in Munich is generally highest late in the year when the city sees an influx of tourists for the annual Oktoberfest. The festival, which was first held in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig and Prince Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, lasts for 16 days and traditionally ends on the first Sunday in October.
The Olympia Park complex, Allianz Football Stadium and Alte Pinakothek are also worth taking time for. The Munich English Gardens are definitely something that you will want to make time for. The Isar River runs directly through these lovely gardens and the natural wave pool is perfect for surfing. You can rent a boat and explore the lake, take a break at the Chinese Tower Beer Garden or visit the Japanese Tea House. You can stroll up to the Monopterus Pavilion and gain a phenomenal view of Munich while atop this amazing point.
Besides the obvious Munich Beer Festival or Oktoberfest, which is held during the end of September and beginning of October each year, Munich, Germany also has many other amazing sights and activities that you can enjoy. Munich is an excellent place to visit if you are seeking fascinating architecture.
From a terrain perspective, Germany has a bit of everything. The north consists mostly of plains and shoreline, while the center of the country is a fertile basin. The south of the country is primarily mountainous, sharing formations with Switzerland. With this divergent terrain, the climate varies from area to area, but is generally cool with significant periods of rain.

The Hohokam Indians were the first settlers in this charming desert town near Phoenix Arizona, more than 2,000 years ago. Though they did not stay permanently, their spirit remains in the hearts of the Mesa people. There is a peaceful ambiance in this city that emanated from days of old, but yet has the tenacity to carry on for many more generations. Mesa, Arizona, was originally called ‘Hayden’ back in the early 1800′s, and then the name changed to ‘Zenos’ in the late 1800′s. Mormons pioneers started settling in this community around that time, and eventually changed the name to Mesa. Mesa is a beautiful place to visit, or even to live. The weather is sunny and bright year round, and the economy is strong and sure. Mesa, the most populous city in the United States, is determined to keep its Mormon and Western heritage alive and well, even as its prosperity continues to climb upward, and its population is ever increasing. And because of its proximity to Phoenix, the abundance of arts and entertainment available to the Mesans is limitless, not to mention the cultural heritage in this city alone, which boasts the largest art complex in Arizona. The Mesa Arts Center hosts local and national theatrical productions, along with musical concerts and local art exhibits that are world renown. Mesa has three college campuses, which is reflected in the percentage of young people in Mesa who hold a degree at the bachelor’s level or higher. The result of the higher education advantage is mirrored in the realty market. Many of Mesa’s houses on the market are palatial, to say the least. Though there are always the more affordable housing choices available to those who have not experienced the higher level of education. In this growing mecca of decadence, it cannot be said that there aren’t just as many opportunities for all who seek them, from all walks of life. As far as travel opportunities go, Mesa boasts a variety of amenities. Their restaurant selection will overwhelm you with all the choices they have to offer, everything from fast food to the finest dining from every American and ethnic food group in the world. There are numerous parks and sports facilities, high-end golf courses, and a diversity of special events, which includes the Chicago Cubs Spring Training Baseball experience. For the nature lovers, Mesa provides wilderness jeep tours, hiking trails, horseback riding, mountain climbing in Superstition Mountains, and the famous Lost Dutchman Gold mine with many adventures to be had, and four lakes with excellent fishing and boating. The Tonto National Forest is here as well, which is an adventure in itself. So the next time you’re up for adventure and don’t know where to go, give some thought to Mesa, Arizona. Here you have the advantages of a big city, alongside the wonders of nature. There’s something for everyone here, from all walks of life. And if you just cannot get enough of this gem in the desert, then you might want to consider moving here! For those who do not know Phoenix, Arizona, desert; complete with cactus, sand, tumbleweeds, stores that sell cowboy boots and dust, lots and lots of dust. When you vacation on the Emerald Coast, you can expect sun and sand with lots of attractions in the area. There are plenty of Panama City activities on offer in between the sunbathing sessions. You can play a game of volleyball or frisbee on the beach, or take scuba diving lessons.
Try parasailing or jet skiing, or join a deep sea fishing excursion. Lots of companies run boat tours including island tours and dinner cruises. Get a glorious view on one of the helicopter tours. Golfers have several 9-hole and 18-hole courses to choose from. Shell collectors like to take the boat tour to Shell Island, an uninhabited island where you may see Bottlenose Dolphins and a variety of birds. Shipwreck Island Waterpark has exciting rides set within a tropical landscape.
You can fish from the jetty or a boat at St. Andrews State Park, or you can go kayaking. You can also walk the beach there or follow the nature trails. The kids will love the Junior Museum of Bay County, where the staff organizes fun activities and there are interactive exhibits. Learn about local shipwrecks and the history of diving in the area at the Museum of Man in the Sea.
Catch one of the animal shows at Gulf World Marine Park, starring dolphins, parrots, sea lions, or reptiles. One of the most popular Panama City activities is to visit Zooworld, which contains more than 350 animals. There are so many activites, you’ll need a another Panama City Beach vacation!

The city of Mozart â Salzburg

]]>
Salzburg is like a holy name to a lot of people who loves music as it is the birthplace of Mozart
who is great composer in 18 century. It is surprised to know that Salzburg enjoys a higher
tourist-per-capita ratio even than Venice or Florence.
Salzburg is located in the central of Austria, on the banks of the Salzach River, at the northern
boundary of the Alps. Therefore, the climate here is cold and humid. However, never mind,
there is music to keep you warm.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Mozart is the most influential composer during 1750 to 1820 which is called âthe Classical era’.
His impact is endurable and profound. Beethoven’s early compositions were completed in the
shadow of Mozart, and Joseph Haydn wrote that “posterity will not see such a talent again in
100 years.
Mozart’s talent had been shown in his early childhood in Salzburg. He began to write songs
at five years old when he was already good at keyboard and violin and performed in front of
European royalty. During years, he travelled and created a lot of works. Later, in 1781, he
sought for a better development in his career and went to the capital city Vienna. In Vienna, he
achieved fame but struggled to survive due to lack of financial support. It is still a mystery of
this talent’s early death at the age of 35 years old, which is such a big pity to the musical world.
During his entire life, he has composed around 600 pieces of works, among which the most
well-known and recognized are pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, piano, operatic,
and choral music.
The Sound of Music
Besides Mozart, Salzburg also has connection with âthe sound of music’, one of the world’s most
popular and famous musicals.
Actually, the city of Salzburg was the settings for part of âthe sound of music’ which
showed some famous landmark in Salzburg. When you are walking along the Salzach
River, you may find it is hard not to sing âDo-Re-Mi’ and think of the scenes in the movie.
Summer Special
When it is summer in Salzburg, you can choose to go hiking or enjoy and open-air concert.
Best places for hiking could be: Mount Untersberg – Mount Gaisberg – Glasenbach Klamm -
Hellbrunner Allee – National Park Hohe Tauern – Mount GroÃglockner – Krimml Waterfalls.
Winter Special
When it is winter in the city, the best thing to do is to go skiing and shopping in the Christmas
market.
Airport
Salzburg W. A. Mozart Airport (SZG) is named after the Salzburg-born composer, Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart. It is a regional airport located 3.1 km west-southwest from the centre
of Salzburg and it may take around 20 minutes. The airport also has flights directly to the
Frankfurt, Vienna, London, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Brussels, Düsseldorf and Zürich, as well as
Hamburg and Dublin.
Best car hiring companies to call
Renting a good car with the best price in Austria is conveniently available. Car rental companies
like Hertz, Avis, Alamo, Budget Dollar, National Sixt, Thrifty and Eurocar are reputable.

In southeastern Wisconsin on the western shore of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is roughly an hour north of Chicago by car. Wisconsin has a cold climate and Milwaukee is no exception. Winter temperatures of -60 F can occur with the frigid wind chills off turbulent Lake Michigan. But Milwaukeeans are a hardy crew and, to prove it, members of the Polar Bear Club defy arctic conditions by taking an icy swim in the lake every January 1st. Known as the beer capital of the world, Milwaukee currently boasts three major brewers including Miller, Sprecher and Lakefront breweries although others, such as Pabst and Schlitz, have come and gone. The success of Milwaukee breweries has been credited to the brewing skills and business acumen of German immigrants, many of whom were among the city’s earliest settlers. Brewery tours are an ever-popular attraction and include free beer! The Fredrick Pabst Mansion, the “Finest Flemish Renaissance Revival Mansion in America” was built by Captain Pabst in 1892 and is a testament to the success of brewing in Milwaukee. Milwaukee’s brewing history means fine beers from around the world are available in most bars and restaurants. Milwaukee also has its share of good eats. Karl Ratzsch’s Restaurant is the place for authentic and excellent German food and Coerper’s 5 o’Clock Club is a deceptively funky (but killer) steakhouse. Kopp’s Custard features awesome burgers and custard, whle the Mekong Cafe is known for outstanding Thai and Vietnamese fare. Popular tourist attractions include the Milwaukee Art Museum, Brewers Baseball, Mitchell Park Conservatory, Bucks Basketball, Milwaukee Public Museum and Planetarium, Milwaukee Country Zoo, Paradise Landing Indoor Water Park, Audubon Nature Sanctuary and the Harley-Davidson Museum. The cultural scene includes the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet, Florentine Opera, Milwaukee Opera and Skylight Opera. There are also many venues for plays, including the Sunset Playhouse. The Milwaukee River weaves through downtown Milwaukee and into Lake Michigan with charming historic bridges and waterways throughout the downtown area. Voyager and Iroquois boat tours are popular with locals and tourists alike featuring cruises around the river, harbor, marina and lake. Happy Hour cruises are especially fun, offering great views of the city. Milwaukee’s lakefront provides a miles-long recreational area including public McKinley Marina for boat docking, jet ski rental and sailing lessons. A bit north, Bradford Beach is a popular attraction with picnics areas, volleyball, in-line skating, biking, partying and musical events. Sometimes called the city of festivals, Milwaukee has Summerfest Music Festival, Festa Italiana, German Fest, Wisconsin State Fair, Irish Fest, African World Festival, Indian Summer Festival and the Lakefront Festival of the Arts. There are also the Asian Festival, Arab World Fest, Bastille Days, Holiday Folk Fair, Mexican Fiesta, Water Frolics and numerous smaller neighborhood festivals and block parties. The city has a large student population with many colleges and universities, among them The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and Marquette University, with its dental and law schools. Marquette also features the Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art and the Al McGuire Center, home of Golden Eagles Basketball. So, it’s coming up on Spring Break Vacation, you’re siked to get out for a week or so, and you definitely want to get out of the old mundane scenery you’re so used to. There are a variety of places you can go, but you really don’t want to miss Florida, where the sun is always hot, the water cool and salty, and fresh breezes or spring rain to cool off after the mid-day. If that’s got your attention, then let me redirect you to a pinpoint location: Panama City Beach in the Panhandle of Florida. Twenty-seven miles of granite white sand beaches, extending east to west, large enough for the entire state to come and relax without being too crowded. Now that I’ve tossed my line, have you taken the bait?
While we’re on the beach, we can run down a few activities popular at St. Andrews State Park, such as salt water fishing, surfing with a board or your body, swimming, diving, and snorkeling, sun bathing, picnics, football and volleyball. But if you watch TV, I’m sure you already know about all of that. Instead, let’s go for the new craze, parasurfing! Grab your wake board and hang glider style parashoot and head off to the water to face the wind and waves. What about if you have a boat? Well wakeboarding by itself is still a popular sport, as well as water skiing and tubing. If perhaps you do not own any of the equipment needed to enjoy life on the water, then I must say, that there are quite a few water sports companies around that allow you to rent surf boards, boats, jet skis, kayaks and wetsuits of your choice. You must remember, the heats up very quickly in Florida and the UV rays are more potent than in other areas of the U.S., so I must advise the use sunscreen and aloe to prevent sun burns or even sun poisoning… Neither of which is an attractive thing to have when going to our next set of stops.
Florida Nightlife puts all of the other places of the world to shame. Between the best clubs and bars, DJs and parties; nothing tops us. Panama City Beach is no exception, but instead, it is a rather jewel; an expectation set that many other beach front towns try to emulate. Most of your locations for drinks and dancing are located right on the beach, making it an easy transition from burning up to chilling out. MTV holds their Spring Break show here quite often, showing off clubs like Ms. Newbys Liquor, Blue Moose, and of course, the Coyote Ugly Saloon. However, for nights that you just want to chill out and not party so hard, be sure to check out the local restaurants, like Crazy Marlins and Hammerhead Fred’s, which are places that you can still have fun, enjoy casual to fine dining experience , and taste great seafood and other grill specials.
At the end of the night, when you need to crash, and not just lay on the street or beach-bum it out all night, you should head to a hotel. My advice, book the room(s) early, or you may be sleeping out on the one of the Florida Panhandle Beaches after all! Perhaps try one of the more famous places, such as the Sterling Resorts – Reflections and Marriott Legends Edge, both at Bay Point for a high class resort style hotel. Or if your budget is tight, check out the Ramada Inn or one of the more famous chain hotels. Either way, all you need is a place to stay for the night, because the next morning, you’ll be right out again, hitting the beach, dancing at the clubs and drinking the booze. Have fun, party safe, and please make Panama City Beach your destination for Spring Break!

The Best Babysoy Products for Travel
Traveling with a new baby is much different than traveling without children. Young babies and small children require much more stuff than adults while traveling. My first vacation with my daughter I had to bring an extra car just to hold her things! I was terrified I would forgot something that we desperately needed, like nursing pads, or a soft baby gum tooth brush. Packing for children does get easier as they age but why make it any harder on yourself than you have to? Here are my favorite

My Day at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
I am a huge Harry Potter fan, I was there the day the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure and I have made many other friends who are just as big of fans as I am. I’ve met a lot of these people while writing what we call ‘fan fiction’; these are stories we’ve written about characters from the book. One such friend, Peter, came down this fall to visit.
