Golf in Las Vegas is developing very fast. Thirty years back, visitors and locals played for the first time at The Tropicana Golf Course, the place where MGM Grand Hotel and Casino are standing.

Arlastad Golf Club also held the Scandinavian Masters. It is in the outskirts of northern Stockholm city and not far from the airport then the traffic can be considered convenient.There are also 36 holes, 18 holes Old Course Gamla, 6378 yards long,72 pars.In 2007, for the competition, the fairy was extended to 6845 yards and par shrunk to 70.

As an important business tool, golf (Callaway Diablo Edge Fairway Woods)a big proportion in this park. Many of the guests come to Arlastad for business purposes,then conference center, bars, restaurants naturally became necessary facilities for the club. Two years ago, the golf course also opened a new nine-hole short course lighting, built a small 4-hole training course to meet different levels needs of customers.

Kungsangen Golf Club is the fourth one that I have experienced htting Callaway Diablo Forged Irons in Stockholm. 36-holes course, one is called Kings and another one is Queens, intresting.

King course have held the 2005 Scandinavian Masters,is a very typical Parkl.there are a lot of dense trees and they are very neat rows on both sides of the fairway,when you face tall, straight pines, you feel it likes the North American style golf course.

In this article I will be talking to you about Bangkok Golf Vacations in particular, although there are hundreds of golf courses throughout Thailand.

First a little about Thailand from Wikipedia. Thailand is home to several distinct geographic regions, partly corresponding to the provincial groups.

The north of the country is mountainous, with the highest point being Doi Inthanon at 2,576 meters (8,451ft.).

Bangkok is the place to visit for breathtakingly beautiful temples, magnificent palaces, Thai dancers, Thai kickboxing, museums, and island hopping, with

Lets talk about some of the particular Golf Clubs and Golf Courses in Bangkok.

Windmill Park Golf & Country Club: Designed by Nick Faldo, this 18-Hole, Par 72, golf course is very challenging from the back tees. It features a lot of water for most of the entire course and the Par 5 holes are all doglegs. The last hole is probably the biggest challenge where you have to hit onto an island where the clubhouse is also located.

Bangpoo Country Club: This 18 hole course was designed by Arnold Palmer and is one of the most popular golf vacation destinations. It is located about 60 miles southeast of Bangkok. You will not contend with as much water as you will on the Windmill course but wind will be a factor in your golf game at Bangpoo. Wide Fairways make the course a little easier for the average golfer.

Vintage Golf Clubs: There is a lot more here than just golf. It features a glamorous clubhouse with tennis courts, a swimming pool, and even a fitness center. This 18 hole, Par 72 golf course was designed by Arthur Hills and is a rather flat course. However the greens, fairways, and water hazards are well placed. The Par 5 holes will give any golfer the challenge they are looking for and the 18th hole is especially challenging with a narrow green sporting water on two sides.

Bangpakong Riverside Country Club: Built by the Bangpakong River, this 18 hole course presents unique challenges for golfers at any skill level. The river intertwines through the golf course and into some of the greens themselves.
It sports thick rough areas even though the fairways are wide. Golfers will also have to contend with strong winds in addition to the obvious water hazards.

Thana City Golf & Country Club: This Golf Club is located along the Bangna-Trad Highway. A beautiful course designed by Greg Norman gives golfers a chance to play holes of varying skill levels.
There are Par 4, 300 yard holes up to Par 4, 440 yard holes. Very fast greens make this golf course a real challenge.

Dynasty Golf & Country Club: Designed by Dennis Griffiths, Dynasty is an 18-hole golf course about an hour-and-a-half drive from Bangkok. The greens are well placed and the course is fairly flat.
There are creeks that provide good water hazards and the trees and flowers that surround this beautiful golf course are something to be admired.

Subhapruek Golf Club: (Formerly Bangna Country Club). The name, Subhapruek, was given to the golf course by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in 1995 and means Beautiful Plants.
This golf course is one of the most beautiful courses in Thailand. Every single one of the 18 holes was designed by Pete Dye as a signature hole. The course presents physical and mental challenges that rival the best golf courses in the world.

Natural Park Ramindra Golf Course: (Formerly Winsan Golf Club until taken over by the Natural Group in 1992) Designed by Jack Niclaus, this 18-hole golf course features holes with sandy wastes, water hazards, and bunkers.
Like any golf course designed by Jack Niclaus, it presents challenges golfers at all skill levels can enjoy. It is located near Safari World, about and hour drive from Bangkok.

Golf Tips – The Proper Golf Swing

Since it is the height of the Utah golf season and the Red Ledges luxury real estate communitys Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is busy with players, we thought we would offer some golf tips for your next round.

Jack Moorehouse, author of the best-seller, “How to Break 80 and Shoot Like the Pros” has offers some excellent information on the proper golf swing. While Mr. Moorehouse is not a professional golfer, though his book is a best seller and he has helped thousands of people around the world lower their handicap,

There are some who listen to my golf lessons think the swing is all about moving the right body parts. But knowing which parts to move isn’t enough. You also need to know what sequence to move them in, when, and how quickly. Building rhythm, timing, and tempo into your swing is a prerequisite to hitting good golf shots time and time again.

Helping players develop swing consistency is a priority in my golf instruction. I work diligently with them, to help them learn both the components of a good swing and the “feel” of one. Once they learn these, they’re well on their way to hitting good shots consistently.

Below is the swing sequence I recommend in my golf tips. Following it builds rhythm, timing, and tempo in a golf swing. Practicing it builds consistency

Initiate the swing trigger.

Player, Palmer, and Nicklaus all start their swings with a little move that triggers the action. Player kicks in his right knee. Palmer waggles his club one final time. And Nicholas turns his head to the right. These movements help each player make a smooth, fluid start to the backswing, preventing any jerky movements that destroys critical swing linkage.

Start the takeaway.

Requiring a one-piece movement, the takeaway determines the swing’s shape and tempo. Moving the club, hands, arms, and chest in unison keeps the clubhead low and the backswing full. It also starts a wide and a powerful move away from the ball.

Set the clubhead on the right plane.

During the first few feet the swing, the club must move gradually inside the ball-to-target line. At the same time it must stay outside your hands. The key to setting the clubhead on the right plane lies in starting the swing with the butt of the club. Moving the club in toward your right thigh helps set the club on the right path.

Open the clubhead slightly.

I recommend in my golf tips that you think of the clubface as a gate that opens slowly clockwise in conjunction with the turning motion of your body. Open it slowly as you set the clubhead on the right plane.

Check the club at the mid-point of the backswing.

At this point your left arm should be close to your body and the right elbow splayed out slightly, pointing down toward the ground. Your wrists should be fully cocked, forming a 90-degree right angle between your hands and the club. From here, it’s an easy move to the top of the backswing, also known as the slot.

Turn your head right.

Here, you should be aware of some tension in your right knee. Your left shoulder should be comfortably underneath your chin. Allowing your head to turn to the right as you swing the back to the ball encourages your spine to rotate. It also gets your weight moving in the right direction. The club should be as parallel to the target line as possible when it reaches the slot.

Start turning the lower body.

The body as a whole is then able to unwind in one motion. The movement produces a swinging motion of the arms, hands, and club, allowing the clubhead to peak through impact. Think about swinging the clubhead, not hitting the ball.

Straighten and release your right arm.

Do it as early as possible from the downswing, maintaining the 90-degree angle at the back of your wrists. Gradually opening up your body the target widens your downswing arc and puts the clubhead on a square path to the ball. In my golf lessons I tell players to drive the right knee toward the left — but to delay the club’s release as long as they can, creating solid contact.

Firm up the left side of your body.

It needs to both support and resist the release of the clubhead as your torso unwinds. At the same time drive your right side through the ball as hard as you like. Your arms should be fully extended and your weight going forward, sort of like a lumber jack chopping down a tree, to generate optimum impact. I have players in my golf instruction sessions practice swinging the club like a baseball bat. Then, I have them lower the club to the ground, but continue to swing the club the same way.

Rotate the body fully through impact.

Most of the player’s weight will end-up on the left side of your body and your right heel will be up. At this point, the knees touch lightly, the hips are fully turned, and the right shoulder is pointed at the target. Accelerating the clubhead through the swing carries the player through the swing.

Finish with hands high above left shoulder.

The player will be in a straight up, balanced position when the swing is completed. Your hands will finish high, just like you see in golf instruction manuals.

Producing good golf shots requires not only knowing which body parts to move in isolation but also examining the swing holistically. Practicing the steps I describe above in the sequence encourages this holistic look. Successfully linking them together into a smooth swing, with rhythm, tempo, and the right timing, builds a coordinated, repeating action, and generates consistency and accuracy.

Vail and Colorado Golf Courses…..

Does Colorado have golf courses? It’s like asking…are there needles on a pine tree?
When you start searching Colorado maps and resources the first thing you notice are the great number of golf courses in the state of Colorado.

In the mountains, the Aspen area is sparse in the number of golf courses compared to the Vail area, This might have something to do with former President Gerald Ford giving attention to Vail over Aspen. As you might remember, former President Ford was a big golf fan and player. Although not a tournament-class player, he had fun playing as long as you weren’t in his line of fire with a stray golf ball. For the younger people… Gerald Ford had a bad habit of hitting bystanders.

What about the Denver area? Wow, a whopping number of golf courses are listed, over 40 featured ones alone. It makes you wonder if there’s any room for a city.

Colorado Springs is no slouch. There are about 40 golf courses around that area too and the weather tends to be nicer due to a little thing called the Palmer Divide near Monument. The divide is about 3,000 feet above Denver and 2,000 feet or so above Colorado Springs. Storms coming from the north tend to stall on Palmer Divide and so your golf outing is less likely to be interrupted. Storms from the west are different. Better get off the golf course before lightning decides you’re its next target.

The Fort Collins area shows about 30 golf courses and the Pueblo area about 10. Pueblo isn’t as big into golf as its northern neighbors. Possibly because of its working class roots as a steel town and the surrounding agricultural areas. For some reason, steelworkers and farmers usually find better things to be doing than golfing.

The Grand Junction area has about twice as many golf courses than the Pueblo area. Do you suppose tending orchards in Grand Junction (peaches, cherries, apples) gives them the desire to play golf more?

The Grand Lake area is also thin with golf courses. But what golf courses there are there have to be good. Just being in the area is fantastic…what with the huge (by Colorado standards – this isn’t Minnesota) Grand Lake and gorgeous Rocky Mountain National Park nearby.

If you want to get away from the maddening crowds and experience the Rocky Mountains at its best, check out the Telluride area. Gasps of awe are guaranteed in this part of the Rocky Mountains.

A word of warning though. If you were from a lower elevation state I’d suggest using an electric cart. Playing golf five to nine thousand feet higher than you’re used to, can make 18 holes feel like a 30-mile marathon. There is a good thing though. Your golf ball will travel farther than you’ve ever hit before thanks to that thin air.

That being said, whenever you golf in Colorado, you’re bound to have a good time. The weather is great (over 300 sunny days per year) with a gorgeous scenery that can’t be beat anywhere else in the world.

Better get off the golf course before lightning decides you’re its next target.

The Fort Collins area shows about 30 golf courses and the Pueblo area about 10. Pueblo isn’t as big into golf as its northern neighbors. Possibly because of its working class roots as a steel town and the surrounding agricultural areas. For some reason, steel workers and farmers usually find better things to be doing than golfing.

The Grand Junction area has about twice as many golf courses than the Pueblo area. Do you suppose tending orchards in Grand Junction (peaches, cherries, apples) gives them the desire to play golf more?

The Grand Lake area is also thin with golf courses. But what golf courses there are there have to be good. Just being in the area is fantastic…what with the huge (by Colorado standards – this isn’t Minnesota) Grand Lake and gorgeous Rocky Mountain National Park nearby.If you want to get away from the maddening crowds and experience the Rocky Mountains at its best, check out the Telluride area. Gasps of awe are guaranteed in this part of the Rocky Mountains.

A word of warning though. If you’re from a lower elevation state I’d suggest using an electric cart. Playing golf five to nine thousand feet higher than you’re used to, can make 18 holes feel like a 30 mile marathon. There is a good thing though. Your golf ball will travel farther than you’ve ever hit before thanks to that thin air.

That being said, whenever you golf in Colorado, you’re bound to have a good time. The weather is great (over 300 sunny days per year) with a gorgeous scenery that can’t be beat anywhere else in the world.
