National Airport Parking Choices for Washington D.C. Travelers

National Airport parking is relatively easier at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), in Arlington County, Virginia than in most other airports in the country. Reagan Airport is the closest commercial airport to Washington D.C., the capital city of the United States. Originally known as the Washington National Airport, it was renamed in 1988 in honor of former U.S. president Ronald Reagan. DCA airport serves over 18 million passengers every year.
Hourly and Daily Parking
There are over 9,400 National Airport parking spaces in service at present – about 2,956 of these are in the economy parking lot, located in the south end of the airport. Daily and hourly parking are available at airport garages A, B, and C. Hourly parking can be quite expensive at per hour, maximum for a full 24 hours period. This is ideal when you have business at the airport and would need to park for up to 2 hours. If you need to park longer, you’re better off taking a daily parking space for a rate of or park at the economy lot for only per day.
Parking for Disabled Passengers
There are designated National Airport parking spaces for disabled passengers, conveniently located near elevators and shuttle bus stops. Vehicles with handicapped or disabled persons on board needing parking assistance are requested to show their government-issued plates or placards to the uniformed parking assistants, who can also help locate a convenient parking space should the designated areas be already full.
Cell Phone Waiting Area
If you’re picking up a family member or a friend from the airport, you can use the airport’s cell phone waiting area. You’re not allowed to leave your vehicle while inside the waiting area, and you can only stay for a maximum of 2 hours, but this beats burning gas to pass the time or pay the hourly parking rates at the airport garages.
Long Term Parking
If you’re flying out of Reagan airport for an extended business or vacation trip, daily parking is by far the most financially sound option. Still, like in any other city, airport-run facilities are always available at an inflated price because of their proximity to the terminals. For less expensive alternatives, the best choice would be the off-airport locations offering highly competitive rates.
Off-Airport Alternatives
Most of the good hotels near the airport offer very affordable long term parking rates. Courtyard Crystal City (half a mile from the airport) and Sheraton Crystal City Hotel (1.20 miles from the airport), both located along Jefferson Davis Highway, have a daily parking rate of only at their indoor parking facilities, for example.
The Obvious Choice
For a hypothetical 5 day trip, you’ll be paying 0 at the airport garages, at the economy lot, while only at hotel parking locations. Factor in the complimentary shuttle service that will take you to and pick you up from your terminal at the end of your trip, your choice for your National Airport parking becomes quite obvious.
Book Your Parking in Advance
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), being very close to federal government offices including the White House, is relatively restricted than most other airports, in terms of security, number of flights, and international entry. Nevertheless, with 18 million passengers using the airport every year, National Airport parking can still be a problem, especially during the holidays. This can be easily avoided, however: just know your options and book your parking in advance.

Starting this summer, Motel 6 offers travelers a fun, affordable way to explore some of the most magnificent and family-friendly national parks in America through its new trip-planning Web site, Goin6.com. By planning ahead on Goin6.com, road trippers can design a one-tank trip and save significantly on fuel costs and hotel/motel expenses.
Motel 6 is launching the Motel 6 National Parks Tour – Northern Arizona and Southern Utah Loop – as the newest featured road trip on Goin6.com. The National Parks Tour is specifically designed to assist travelers in discovering the natural beauty of the Western U.S. by visiting Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and more.
The Goin6.com Web site also helps any nature lover plan a great trip by utilizing the “Eat,” “Sleep,” and “Do” feature tabs, including Motel 6 locations along the way that provide comfortable and affordable accommodations. Soon, the Goin6.com site will feature new and exciting Motel 6 journeys with opportunities for travelers to explore America.
The Motel 6 National Parks Tour features highlights in two of the most beautiful western states in America: Utah and Arizona. Highlights include:
Bryce Canyon, Utah – Known for its brightly colored and uniquely shaped rock formations called Hoodoos and hiking trails nestled among its many viewpoints, offers: hiking up to Bryce Point for a breathtaking view of the sunrise; taking the free Bryce Canyon Shuttle around the park; horse back riding along the canyon terrain; and seeing a show at the annual Neil Simon Festival throughout July and August at Heritage Theater in Cedar City.
Zion, Utah – Utahs first national park, features the famous Virgin River, one of the last free flowing rivers in the Colorado River system, and offers: rock climbing and repelling along Zions tall rock towers; bike riding along the Zion Canyon trails; inaugurating your taste buds with homemade bumbleberry pie at Bumbleberry Restaurant; and checking out the Zion Canyon Art and Flute Festival each year in June.
Grand Canyon, Arizona – One of the most popular destinations in the U.S., spans more than 200 miles long, 18 miles wide, and a mile deep, and offers: smooth water or white water rafting through the canyon; taking a helicopter tour over and through the canyon; experiencing the Grand Canyon IMAX Movie at the National Geographic Visitor Center; and enjoying barbeque and dancing at Gunsmoke Saloon in Paige.
“Travelers can enjoy one-tank-trips by planning ahead on Goin6.com,” said Jeff Palmer, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Motel 6. “With the National Parks Tour, guests will enjoy Americas natural beauty and save on their room when they stay at Motel 6.”
To start planning your own National Parks Tour, visit www.Goin6.com.

The main reason why hair starts to grow and remain thick is because of the presence of biotin – this is the vitamin B that supplies nutrients and minerals to the hair responsible for hair growth and its thickness. Major universities have researched that the presence of biotin in the hair enables the hair cuticle to be thick, thus preventing hair loss or baldness in some cases.

Moab’s National Parks for Weddings and a 2010 Wedding Venue Update
Posted: Jun 02, 2010 |
]]>
Moab has a number of talented individuals to care for the floral arrangements, create an elaborate cake, play music or tackle the set up of event tents and matters. The charm of Moab cast a spell upon your first visit. Moab beckons to you, now that love has magically sprinkled you and a beloved.
Arches and Canyonlands National Parks have the spacious views of the world laying out before you, a fine metaphor for a couple sealing a future together with the world of possibilities laying ahead for togehterness. A National Park wedding may be restricted by the number of vehicles, but not by endless views of scenery. Typically only two vehicles will be permitted to occupy parking spaces. In Moab, for Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, shuttle companies can be contracted to remedy this condition of the park. A special use permit will be required. Apply for the permit by submitting Form 10-9302 with application fee for wedding. Allow at least 14 days for processing this initial step and about 4 weeks all told. If approved expect to pay an additional 0 for administration costs. This includes two hours of monitoring fees. Understand if additional monitoring will be required by park service as this costs an hour per park service employee. The conditions for a National Park permit are clearly indicated, like throwing rice or seed will be prohibited, etc. There will be no park closures. The general visitor may look on.
Besides Arches and Canyonlands National Parks of Moab, Dead Horse Point State Park is a ubiquitous desert setting worthy of consideration for a wedding too. Like the national parks, a special use permit is required. Fees vary from park to park, however, must accompany the application once you have discussed with the park manager the size, dates and explored the park site for feasibility.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has tracts of unrelenting beauty too. It is necessary to review the Comprehensive Operating Plan, prepare a topographical map indicating proposed use, insure according to BLM’s specified amounts, and fill out Form 2930-1 (Special Recreation Application and Permit). Contact the Moab Field Office early in the planning stages, time required to process is related to the work load at the time and varies. The Bureau of Land Management has enumerable locations to consider for a wedding. Local Moab tour operators render services for remote food service. The tour operators are approved by the South Eastern Utah Health Department, their staff hold Food Handler cards and these companies have unlimited experience in food preparation, ice chest and waste management in the outdoors, conducting food handling without plumbing or electricity.
The hospitality industry in Moab has two riverside resorts, enveloped in canyon scenery, and attentive staff to create a flawless wedding day. For a July or August wedding, seek the alpine climate of the La Sal Mountains to enjoy Whispering Oaks Ranch. Each of these three settings has on-site food service and feature wedding party expertise. Within the city boundaries of Moab, the Aarchway Inn is remarkable. Combine the courtyard with the event lawn and pavilion for a fantastic outdoor wedding. Another approach to marrying in Moab, would be to rent a facility like Canyonlands by Night or Bar-M Chuckwagon. These venues can provide food service for 300 or more guests.
The following unique venues to consider might not be obvious. Three Dogs and a Moose are four sumptuous cottages adjacent to a common garden. The sister property Cali Cochitta has long been an intimate space for wedding celebrations. Cali Cochitta has stylish catering services to add elegance for an endearing wedding. Cali Cochitta caters for Three Dogs and A Moose property too.
Upon inspection of Moab’s Historic Star Hall, the bride and groom will note plenty of parking and a quiet side street of Moab. A congregation of 289 guests with space for three wheel chairs is housed in Star Hall. The stage can be enhanced with amplified sound. Dressing rooms downstairs permit the bride and groom an adequate space to ready for this most prestigious moment. From the dressing rooms, exits outdoors enable them to re-enter this 2009 renovated theater from the front doors and march the aisle up to the altar. No food or drink are allowed in Star Hall, however, adjacent to the hall is the sun court, a colorful landscaped space for a reception.
Moab as a destination wedding offers elegance and style in a tremendous russet setting of stone. Another imaginative metaphor, begin your marriage in a place that is dimensionally solid, just like you, the bride and groom, desire for your relationship, wedding day forward.

Rehearsal Dinner Ideas for a National Park Wedding Or Moab Utah Wedding

Thank the wedding party and family with these relaxing Moab rehearsal dinner ideas:
The exquisite weather in Moab is attractive to plan an outdoor setting for rehearsal dinners. Happily devote a moment to an album of patios in Moab on Facebook. Yeah! There are a number of sources available for a rehearsal dinner. Like the patios of Moab.
To anticipate inclement whorls, look more closely at Buck’s Grill, Zax’s, Eklecktica, Eddie McStiff’s, and Desert Bistro. A little site inspection revealed these restaurants had outdoor area heaters to take the nip out of sunset in Moab on the patio during spring or fall weddings. Utah’s unencumbered liquor laws are here in the 21st Century. Most Moab restaurants have liquor licenses. In fact, Moab has two breweries and two local wineries. Consider toasting the bridesmaids and groomsmen with Moab’s own local beverages. Traditionally, a thank you gift is presented to the wedding party at the rehearsal dinner. Please be reminded of regional gift available in Moab. Shopkeepers have an array of hand crafted jewelry, native american pottery and textiles, local artwork and many items for outdoor enthusiasts, and charming or utilitarian labeled souvenirs to present to the participants of the rehearsal dinner.
Another reason for the rehearsal dinner is to get families and close friends better acquainted. Moab’s community parks have volleyball, disc golf, horse shoes, and a xylophone park within a park, playgrounds, and sheltered picnic tables. Bring an apron or two to designate loved ones for grill duty at the BBQ; transfer the apron as often as a conversation concludes and a person moves on to circulate. Or try a potluck. Potluck? Yes, the Village Market or City Market grocery stores have deli sections, so out-of-town guests can nab a rotisserie chicken, slabs of roast beef, containers of salads, can drinks (please no glass and no alcohol), and arrive to play. Or research Moab’s local outfitter to take the party on a trail, the river or remote spot. These tour companies have the necessary food handling permits and expertise to conduct meals without plumbing and electricity to further enhance your Moab wedding selection.
There are divine lawns in Moab. Cali Cochitta, Whispering Oaks Lodge, and the Aarchway Inn have hosted nice catered meals on their lodging grounds. Should you desire dedicated assistance with your wedding plans in Moab. Tanya Relitz of I Do Moab, aka, Shandalace Weddings, will package everything you dream and attend to the details. Or explore your options browsing http://www.moabutah.info. Moab’s Travel Council has dedicated staff to assist in connecting planners to everything, cakes, musicicians, flowers, decor, event tent rentals, permits and officials.

Yosemite National Park Lodging: It’s a Family Affair
Yosemite National Park Lodging: It’s a Family Affair
Yosemite National Park Lodging has earned a reputation as the family destination in America. More than 4 million people visit each year, and Yosemite National Park Lodging makes all of them feel right at home. Your family will, too. Because Yosemite lodging offers something for everyone! Yosemite lodging gives you an opportunity to experience Yosemite National Park up close and at when the park is at its bestâ¦which is any time of the year. A park for all seasons and plenty of reasons to visit soon.
Yosemite National Park lodging has comforts, conveniences, sights, and attractions to suit every age and every budget. Snug in your bed or sleeping bag, when youâre lodging in Yosemite, youâre a stoneâs throw away from pristine waterfalls, granite domes, and giant sequoias. Yosemite National Park is a national treasure and Yosemite lodging is a national pastime!
For many, visiting Yosemite National Park is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will never be forgotten. Youngsters experience the wonder of nature for the first time while parents and grandparents re-experience the Park again through the eyes of their children.
Yosemite National Park lodging is especially popular with multi-generational families. One important reason is that the disabled may access Yosemite lodging –as well as the Parkâs sites â with ease. Grandparents with special needs who still want to keep up with their active grandchildrenâ¦and kids with special needs can keep up with todayâs active seniors! Meanwhile, mom and dad will be able to keep up with the affordable costs of Yosemite lodging. Affordable camping rates, outstanding R/V deals, and wallet-friendly lodges make Yosemite National Park lodging within reach of almost everyone.
Active families who choose Yosemite lodging during the winter months have a wide range of group activities to choose from. Kids (10 or older) can join adults in strapping on snowshoes at Badger Pass. The costs are as family-friendly as Yosemite lodging. For just , you can follow a ranger on a guided walk. If youâre feeling more independent, you can outfit family members in snowshoes for just at the cross-country center and do your own independent exploring.
Yosemite lodging is so comfortable that you may find it hard to get the kids out of bed in the morning. A good incentive is the fun of photography. In the summer, shutterbugs as young as 7 and as old as 12 may join a Kodak photographer for a one-hour workshop. Weather permitting, kids can head out from at The Ahwahnee Hotel while the grown-ups retire to their welcoming Yosemite National Park Lodging for a little rest and relaxation of their own.
Yosemite National Park Lodging is welcoming, but itâs not unlimited. Yosemite Lodging for overnight visitors is limited to 1,871 campsites and 1,632 lodging units. There are also a few R/V camps and horse camps, but those Yosemite lodging options can accommodate only about 900 or so additional guests. Visitors seeking prime Yosemite National Park Lodging, a particular location, special amenities, etc. should be sure to make their reservations early so that theyâre not disappointed
Yosemite Park Lodging â Where Kids Find Their Smiles
Yosemite lodging is what the guidebooks call it, but kids call the campgrounds, r/v parks and rustic accommodations of one of Americaâs best-loved vacation destinations âa little slice of heaven.â And no wonder! Lodging in Yosemite National Park delivers everything a kid (of any age) could want: a sense of the old, a taste of the new, and the thrill of something completely unexpected waiting to be discovered. Open the door, pull back the tent flap, turn in any direction and youâre face-to-face with one of the worldâs most kid-friendly landscapes.
Yosemite lodging doesnât have something that you might expect: reception. As a result, itâs difficult to use telephones and radios, and the only place that TVs can be found are at one of the Parkâs hotels. Fortunately, the same thing that makes it difficult to stay in touch with the âoutsideâ world is what helps kids get in touch with the world around them. Yosemite Park lodging options, especially campgrounds and R/V parks, help young travelers uncover a completely new definition of âfun.â Disconnected from electronics and technology, they develop an appreciation for nature and nuture the ability to find pleasure in simple thingsâ¦lingering long after a vacation in Yosemite ends.
Yosemite Park lodging offers something else kidsâ crave: quality family time. With both parents working in many households, opportunities for everyone to be together are often few and far between. Camping provides an inexpensive alternative to the vacations many families would like to take but cannot afford. Kids and parents alike enjoy being able to kick back and relax as a family, with no distractionsâ¦and none of the day-to-day problems of home life to get in the way of a good time.
Yosemite Park lodging even makes mom and dad feel like kids again. Carefreeâ¦at least as far as money is concerned! You can go the deluxe route when you visit Yosemite, of course. But Yosemite lodging is so varied and diverse that almost any family can find a budget- friendly optionâ¦and a destination that kids can look forward to visiting again and againâ¦maybe even dreaming of the day theyâll bring kids of their own..
Yosemite Park lodging is perfect for âcity kidsâ who may not be used to the wilderness. They can get a healthy taste of the wilderness experience without having to rough-it too much. Comfortable R/V parks and campsites rich in amenities and creature comforts make Yosemite lodging a nice place to come home to at the end of a childâs busy day.
For kids more comfortable with rough-and-tumble activities, Yosemite lodging is an ideal home base for favorite activities such as biking and river rafting. Horseback riding is especially popular with teens. Guided scenic rides depart from and return to stables in Yosemite Valley, Wawona and Tuolumne Meadowsâ¦each one in close proximity to different Yosemite National Park lodging choices.
From a childâs perspective, simple experiences are often the most meaningful Sitting around a campfire is one of the best forms of entertainment that parents and kids can enjoy, and an experience to be remembered and savored for a lifetime. Yosemite is the perfect place for young imaginations to soar along with the mountains.
Yosemite Valley Lodging Is A Winter Savings Wonderland
Yosemite Valley lodging is always the âin spotâ because fun is in-season 365 days a year! Californiaâs âgift of natureâ is constantly changing, and many love Yosemite best during the warm summer months. In July and August, Yosemite lodging hosts families on summer vacations. The park is a happy destination for kids and adults eager to escape the heat by rafting on a river or sitting in the cool shade of giant Sequoias.
But when the weather outside is frightful, many people find Yosemite Valley lodging delightful! Because despite the fact that many of the roads in the park close due to heavy snow in winter; Yosemite Valley is open all year long and Yosemite lodging is, too.. At 4,000 feet, Yosemite Valley’s winter temperatures are relatively mild⦠26 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, even in February. The unpredictable weather makes winter an excellent time for photography in Yosemite Valley. Stormy clouds hang over the cliffs and valley floor like cotton balls creating spectacular shots that make amateur shutterbugs feel like pros.
Thereâs more good news. Yosemite lodging comes in many price ranges, but it is especially affordable during the winter months. Winter is considered âoff-seasonâ and Yosemite Valley lodging costs dip right along with the mercury. In general, there are fewer people visiting and roomsâ¦especially during midweekâ¦are available on very short notice. This makes Yosemite lodging options a perfect choice for people with flexible travel plans. They can take advantage of last-minute airfare specials and get a great rate on Yosemite lodging.
Yosemite lodging may host fewer human guests than usual when thereâs snow on the ground, but there is an abundance of wildlife to be seen. Deer, raccoons, coyotes, and mule are common. And when winter robs Yosemite trees of their leaves, itâs possible to see bears outside their caves â their own version of Yosemite Valley lodging!
You canât say âWinter in Yosemiteâ without talking about the winter sports scene there. Elite athletes and amateurs share Yosemite Valley lodging, and both groups take advantage of Yosemiteâs deeply discounted winter sports packages that combine lifts, equipment rentals and (for novices) instruction in skiing and snowboarding. The Badger Pass Ski Area, about a 40-minute drive from Yosemite Valley lodging, is California’s original ski area. The Pass’s gentle slopes and the quiet backdrop of Yosemite in winter have made this area a traditional destination for generations of holiday travelers throughout California.
Although most of Yosemite Valleyâs lodging goes to ski enthusiasts in winter, skating under the amazing shadow of Glacier Point and the world-famous Half Dome monolith has brought winter visitors to the Park for more than 70 years. The outdoor rink at Curry Village is the perfect skating spot on a starry night and inexpensive rentals make it easy to spontaneously join the fun. Or if you prefer, settle in beside a crackling fire with something warm to drink and watch the skaters glide by.
Winter in Yosemite Valley is whatever you want it to beâ¦as long as you want it to be fun!
Hot Springs National Parks Hotels
Hot Springs National Parks Hotels
It is well known for its wealthy natural resources and amazing wildlife. The Hot Springs National Park has it all from lush green valleys to hot springs which are unique. No doubt it is nicknamed as ‘The American Spa’. The park includes portions of downtown Hot Springs and is one of the most easily visited national parks. No surprises if it had seen more than 1.5 million visitors in the year 2003.
Established from Hot Springs Reservation, Hot Springs National Park is a United States National Park in central Arkansas adjacent to the city of Hot Springs. It was made a national park on March 4 1921. In the Hot Springs National Park the hot springs flow from the western slope of Hot Springs Mountain which is a part of the Ouachita Mountain range. Interestingly in the park, the hot springs have not been preserved in their unaltered state as natural surface phenomena. They have instead been managed to conserve the production of uncontaminated hot water for public use. The mountains within the park are also managed within this conservation philosophy in order to preserve the hydrological system that feeds the springs. People have used the hot spring water in therapeutic baths for more than two hundred years to treat rheumatism and other ailments.
In the Hot Springs National park Bathhouse Row is a Historic Landmark District. Other than the Buckstaff Bathhouse which still offers baths, the Visitor Center is the only building that can be entered. The vacant bathhouses, however offer beautiful architectural features. Eventually, each of the now empty bathhouses will be rehabilitated for use. The Bathhouse Row/Grand Promenade area is the only place where the hot springs emerge. Most of the springs have been covered for a hundred years to protect the purity of the water for use in the bathhouses and drinking fountains.
The American Spa attracts lots of visitors around the year and the parks do have many hotels, lodges, vacation resorts where the visitors can comfortably accommodate themselves. Hotels at the Hot Spring National Park suit almost every budget and even if you are having a bit tight budget you still find a place where you can comfortably enjoy the natural spectrum offered by this place. Some of the preferred visitor’s hotels are Embassy Suites Hot Springs, Park Hotel of Hot Springs, Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa, DownTown Hotel and Spa, King’s Inn Hot Springs National Park, The Austin Hotel Convention Center, Travelier Inn Hot Springs National Park, Velda Rose Resort Hotel and Spa. Some of the regular facilities offered by the hotels in Atlantic City includes air conditioned rooms, car rentals, airport pick and drop facilities, swimming pools, health clubs, spas, restaurants etc. The restaurants here offer several delicacies including continental food. That means whatever your taste buds demand the restaurants here can fulfill the demands. So if you haven’t packed your bags yet, the Hot Spring National Park is waiting for your arrival.

What is it like to stand in the shadows of or with your hand on the oldest living non- clonal organisms ever known? Awe inspiring! Incredible experience! It definitely is something near impossible to put into words. Great Basin National Forest is one home to these living ancient wonders. Its remoteness assures a private connection.
If you are traveling east or west via U.S. 6 and 50, take Nevada State Highway 487 to Baker, Nevada. It will be a quick 5 miles and then another 5 miles on Highway 488 to the park.
From southern Utah travel north on Highway 21 and when you cross the Utah-Nevada border 21 becomes 487. Turn west on Highway 488 in Baker for the last 5 miles to the park.
From southern Nevada travel north on Highway 93 to the junction of U.S. Highway 6 and 50 and drive east to Nevada State Highway 487 and then it is 5 miles to Baker and another 5 miles to the park via Highway 488.
Just for reference, Ely, Nevada, is 68 miles distant, Delta Utah, is 106 miles, and Cedar City, Utah, is 142 miles. This area is off the beaten path! You won’t have cell phone service or the Internet. Fill up the gas tank before you venture into this remote area.
So again, tell me, why are we are going to Great Basin National Park? Oh, that’s right – the bristlecone pine. Get directions at the Park Visitors Center to the Bristlecone Pine Trail. Take your hiking shoes, appropriate clothing depending upon the season, water and a lunch. It’s only 2.8 miles round trip on a moderate, well-marked trail. If you have more time and energy, continue up the trail to see Nevada’s only glacier at the foot of Mt. Wheeler (13,063 ft. elevation), Nevada’s second highest peak.
The Lehman cave tours, either 60 minutes or 90 minutes, are well worth the fee of and respectively for adults and and respectively for youth 5-15 years of age. Infants and toddles are free but are not permitted on the 90 minute tour.
Limited camping is available during the summer and holidays, so make arrangements ahead of time.
